Molly was the owner’s 3rd grade teacher who always brought cupcakes to class. Much of the proceeds go to local schools, hospitals, and charities.
The owner has an advertising/marketing background.
Customers are allowed to customize the toppings of cupcakes and use the sprinkle bar.
The place really captured the essence of childhood.
We are a group of Integrated Marketing Communications students from Northwestern University. Because we love cupcakes so much, we decided to look at the emerging trend of boutique cupcake shops.

To start the process we visited the three most popular Chicago bakeries devoted solely to cupcakes. Molly's, Sweet Mandy B's, and More were selected according to Yelp ratings and coverage in the local papers.
